This morning while reading over a coffee, Google Reader served up the following headline:
Oblong Has Built The Future Of Computing. I’ve Seen It. Used It. It’s Beautiful.
Bold statements like this have been made about products and technologies in the past, only to have them flop when brought to market. This one feels a bit different. I know that’s what they all say, but hear the man out. The title belongs to this article by MG Siegler of TechCrunch about Oblong Industries’ Mezzanine (PDF Link) and is exciting, to say the least. He’s used and seen the technology up close and personal, so I can only imagine his excitement is manifold.

I can’t stress this enough if you’re interested in stuff like this. The concept isn’t entirely brand new, but the implementation is what counts. It looks seamless and effortless. At the very least, watch the Oblong Demo Video that TechCrunch has posted at the bottom of the article as part of TechCrunchTV. It gets really interesting at about 1:42.
